LA ENCARNACIÓN DEL SAVOIR-FAIRE DE ROLEX
Encarnación perfecta del reloj clásico de Rolex, el Datejust, lanzado en 1945, exhibía todos los grandes logros de la marca hasta ese momento, simbolizando la búsqueda de la excelencia preconizada por el fundador de Rolex, Hans Wilsdorf, que creía que el progreso relojero debía ponerse al servicio del progreso humano. En un periodo de grandes cambios, la relación de la gente con el tiempo estaba cambiando. La vida moderna se movía al ritmo del paso de los días y estaba menos ligada a las estaciones. El Datejust ofrece una mayor comodidad en términos de legibilidad y gestión diaria del tiempo.
LA LENTE CYCLOPS: UNA LECTURA OPTIMIZADA
Creada para mejorar la legibilidad de la fecha, la lente Cyclops es a la vez un rasgo estético y técnico de la marca. Esta invención de Rolex fue patentada a principios de la década de 1950 y se presentó por primera vez en 1953 en un Datejust. Su efecto lupa facilita la lectura de la fecha. Aunque al principio estaba hecha en plexiglás, desde los años 1970 se fabrica en zafiro, al igual que el cristal del reloj.
EL BRAZALETE JUBILEE: CONFORT Y ELEGANCIA
Con ocasión del 40.° aniversario de Rolex en 1945, el brazalete Jubilee se diseñó especialmente para el Datejust. Fluido y cómodo, este brazalete metálico de eslabones de cinco elementos forma parte integral de la identidad del Datejust y realza la elegancia atemporal del modelo. El Datejust también está disponible con el brazalete Oyster o, en las versiones de metales preciosos, con el brazalete President.
