History of the Chopard Happy Sport collection

The Happy Sport collection has undergone a remarkable evolution since its creation. Initially launched with a spectacular combination of steel and diamonds, it has seen variations in case size and the introduction of different materials such as rose gold.

Dial colours have also varied, including classic shades such as black and white, as well as vibrant blues and pinks. In addition, recent versions have incorporated details such as dials with sunray effects and decorations such as guilloché, offering a rich diversity that appeals to a variety of tastes and styles.

Characteristics of the new Chopard Happy Sport reference

This new Happy Sport features a 33 mm diameter case with a thickness of 10.84 mm and is meticulously crafted in Lucent Steel™, a material noted for its durability and exceptional brilliance. Water resistance to 30 metres and anti-reflective sapphire crystal protect the watch under a variety of conditions, while the screw-down transparent caseback allows the intricate internal mechanism adorned with the Happy Sport logo to be admired.

The self-winding mechanical movement, the Chopard 09.01-C, is a testament to watchmaking mastery, with 148 components and 27 jewels ensuring smooth and precise operation. With a diameter of 20.40 mm and a thickness of only 3.65 mm, this compact movement offers a frequency of 25,200 A/h and a power reserve of 42 hours, guaranteeing lasting precision.

Aesthetically, the cream dial with a delicate guilloché centre is complemented by rhodium-plated Roman numerals and hour-markers, and anthracite intaglio inlays provide an elegant contrast. Five moving diamonds add an exclusive touch to the movement, floating freely and catching the light with every flick of the wrist. Rhodium-plated, conical-shaped hour and minute hands and a baton seconds hand complement the dazzling dial.

In addition, the design features a Lucent Steel™ crown set with an olive green tourmaline and a faceted cabochon bezel, highlighting the exceptional craftsmanship of the watch.
