What does the new Tissot PRC 100 Solar look like?

The Tissot PRC 100 Solar is a high-tech timepiece designed for lovers of sustainable luxury. With an aesthetic that respects the watchmaking tradition of the house, this model is distinguished by its ability to convert light into lasting energy.

The great novelty of this model is its Lightmaster solar technology. Unlike conventional solar watches, the PRC 100 Solar incorporates microscopic solar cells under a transparent sapphire crystal. This configuration optimises the collection of natural and artificial light. With only 10 minutes of exposure to light, the watch can run for up to 24 hours thanks to its rechargeable battery, which, when fully charged, provides up to 14 months of autonomy in total darkness.

Design and movement

The watch is housed in a 39mm stainless steel case and is water resistant to 100 metres. The hands and indexes are coated with Super-LumiNova®, ensuring visibility in low light conditions.

Inside it houses the F06.615 quartz movement, renowned for its precision and reliability. This energy-saving movement is crucial to the watch’s intended efficiency, ensuring uninterrupted operation even with minimal exposure to light.

Archie Renaux and the PRC 100 Solar: Synchronising Time and Light

Renowned British actor Archie Renaux, known for his performances in ‘Shadow and Bone’ and ‘Alien: Romulus’, is the face of the new Tissot PRC 100 Solar campaign.

In the ‘Powered by Nature and Created for You’ campaign, we follow Renaux through a typical day, from the first rays of the sun to dusk. As Renaux moves through the city, the watch captures every fragment of light, proving that the sky is the only limit.
