The Tank Louis Cartier is an icon in the world of watchmaking, a creation of Louis Cartier in 1917, inspired by the tanks of the First World War. This watch, which has been worn on the wrists of important figures such as General Charles de Gaulle, Cary Grant and Princess Diana herself, stands out for its rectangular case, Roman numerals and unmistakable blue hands.

Moving on to its design, this Santos-Dumont features a bezel in pink sterling gold, followed by a circular-grained crown which, unlike the previous model, is adorned with a blue synthetic spinel cabochon. Its sunray-effect silvered satin-brushed dial, protected by a sapphire crystal, features Cartier’s characteristic blue sword-shaped hands indicating the time with Roman numerals. Its black alligator leather bracelet is finished with an elegant steel buckle.

The Panthère de Cartier is one of the brand’s most feminine and elegant watches, created in 1983 and inspired by the panther that has symbolised Cartier since 1914. Its rectangular case, articulated bracelet and minimalist dial are some of the elements that define this watch, which has been worn by stars such as Angelina Jolie and Meghan Markle.

Reference WSPN0007 from the Panthère de Cartier collection, like the two previous models we have mentioned, is a watch with a quartz movement. Specifically, this model, the medium- sized one, consists of a rectangular steel case with dimensions of 27 mm x 37 mm and a thickness of 6.44 millimetres.

In terms of design, we find a classic watch that never goes out of fashion and is mainly suitable for the more feminine public. As we have already seen, it has a steel bezel with a crown decorated with a blue synthetic spinel. Its silver-coloured dial with Roman numerals and blued steel sword-shaped hands is protected by a synthetic sapphire crystal.

If there is one thing that is distinctive about this Cartier watch, it is its steel interlaced-link strap, which is a reference to its name thanks to its ultra-flexible structure that honours the Swiss brand’s emblematic animal.
