In the world of luxury jewellery, each brand displays a world of creativity, tradition and savoir-faire that transcends generations. From centuries-old workshops in Europe to contemporary houses with avant-garde voices.
Throughout this article, we will discover six of the maisons that Ideal Joyeros is proud to be the official distributor for. We will analyse their historical trajectory, their characteristic style, and the collections that have made them famous and distinctive in the unique world of luxury jewellery.
Chaumet

Founded in 1780 in Paris, Chaumet is one of the oldest maisons on the Place Vendôme. Its origins are linked to Marie Antoinette, who commissioned Marie-Étienne Nitot to create highly sophisticated jewellery. Throughout the 19th century, Chaumet established itself as the jeweller to kings, serving numerous European royal houses.
Chaumet’s style combines rigorous classicism with touches of modernity. Its most iconic collections, such as ‘Liens’, inspire emotional bonds and connections, while ‘Bee My Love’ pays homage to the bee emblem, a historical symbol of Napoleon. Similarly, the ‘Joséphine’ line evokes the passion and splendour of Joséphine de Beauharnais, the first empress of France, with floral and romantic motifs.
Chaumet pays great attention to the selection of gems and craftsmanship: each piece combines 18-carat gold with brilliant-cut diamonds or less conventional cuts, such as cushion or marquise. Furthermore, in its workshop on Place Vendôme, the jewellery artists work almost obsessively on the details, achieving impeccable finishes. With a balance between historical heritage and contemporary spirit, Chaumet continues to reinvent the concept of luxury jewellery today.
Chopard

Chopard was founded in 1860 in Sonvilier, Switzerland, by Louis-Ulysse Chopard, a renowned watchmaker. In 1963, the company was acquired by the Scheufele family. Today, Chopard stands out for its harmony between precision watchmaking and fine jewellery, as well as its commitment to sustainability and ethical gold.
Chopard’s style is distinguished by its natural elegance and fluid lines. The ‘Happy Diamonds’ collections stand out, with moving diamonds that dance freely between two sapphire crystals, creating a unique light effect. The ‘Ice Cube’ series evokes minimalist geometric shapes inspired by ice cubes, combining rose and white gold with a contemporary feel. The ‘Red Carpet’ line, the result of a collaboration with the Cannes Film Festival, offers spectacular designs for red carpets, often set with vibrant coloured gems.
Chopard takes care of every stage of the process: from responsible gold mining to manufacturing in its workshops in Geneva and Fleurier. The ‘Fairmined’ seal certifies the ethical origin of the materials, an aspect increasingly valued by customers seeking conscious luxury. With one foot in Swiss tradition and the other in ethical innovation, Chopard offers timeless jewellery.
Damiani

Damiani is the epitome of Italian jewellery par excellence. Founded in 1924 in Valenza, the cradle of Piedmontese goldsmithing, by Enrico Grassi Damiani, the house established itself as synonymous with unsurpassed craftsmanship and refined creativity. In 1993, it received the prestigious Arezzo Chamber of Commerce Council Award, which recognises excellence in business and craftsmanship.
The Damiani style is characterised by a fusion of tradition and contemporary design. Its most famous collection, ‘Belle Époque’, takes its inspiration from the architecture and decorative art of the late 19th century, reinterpreting arabesques and volutes with brilliant-cut diamonds set in white gold. Another iconic series, ‘D.Side’, offers minimalist rings and bracelets that balance metal and gems with great subtlety.
Damiani is also committed to technical innovation: its patented ‘Twist’ allows diamond settings that reduce the use of metal, enhancing the gem’s luminosity. Furthermore, the Damiani family continues to lead the company, keeping the legacy and attention to detail alive. With a presence in 30 countries and boutiques in major capitals, Damiani represents the purest Italian elegance, ideal for women seeking jewellery that combines history, art and modernity.
Messika

Messika, created in 2005 by Valérie Messika in Paris, has burst onto the scene by focusing on diamonds as the absolute star of the show. Trained in fine jewellery by the Cartier family, Valérie interpreted the stone from a contemporary perspective, giving rise to fresh and daring designs.
The hallmark of the house is the ‘Move Diamonds’, mobile diamonds that slide freely in rings, earrings and bracelets, creating an effect of lightness and dynamism. Series such as ‘Move Uno’ and ‘My Twin’ have set trends thanks to their young and urban spirit. Another notable line is ‘Glam’Azone’, which combines diamonds with geometric designs in rose and white gold, inspired by strength and femininity.
Messika has also made its mark in bridal jewellery with collections such as ‘Vows’, offering wedding and engagement rings with a minimalist yet highly sophisticated aesthetic. Collaborations with icons of fashion and entertainment, and a presence at high-profile events, have boosted its global recognition. With a workshop in Valenza, Messika combines traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, positioning itself as an innovative and daring maison.
Pomellato

Pomellato was founded in Milan in 1967 by Pino Rabolini, who sought to differentiate himself through the use of coloured gemstones and high-quality craftsmanship. From its boutique on Via della Spiga, Pomellato revolutionised the market with modular pieces and a vibrant spirit, moving away from classicism.
Its style is unmistakable: semi-precious gems such as quartz, amethyst, topaz and tourmaline are combined with rose and yellow gold in sculptural designs. The ‘Nudo’ collection is its most recognisable icon: rings and earrings that evoke the shape of a knot, available in a multitude of colours and mixed settings of various gems. Another notable series is ‘M’ama non m’ama’, inspired by Neruda’s poetry and the tradition of the language of flowers, which alternates gold and diamond discs.
Pomellato takes meticulous care in its craftsmanship: each gem is hand-cut in its workshops in Valenza and each piece of jewellery is carefully assembled. The Milanese maison is also committed to sustainability and diversity, supporting social and environmental initiatives.
Recarlo

Founded in 1967 in Valenza, in the noble region of Piedmont, by Carlo Re and his wife Bruna with the dream of ‘making beauty eternal’, Recarlo has made the heart the emblem of its family savoir-faire. Each piece of jewellery is created in its historic workshop, where today its directors, Giorgio and Paolo Re, keep the legacy alive with innovations such as its eco-friendly headquarters in Milan.
The ‘Anniversary’ collection and its ‘Anniversary Love’ line elevate the heart-shaped cut diamond to the centre stage, set in 18-carat white gold with careful pavé settings and minimalist mounts that intensify the gem’s luminosity.
Carrera y Carrera

With over 140 years of history, Carrera y Carrera was founded in 1885 by Saturio Esteban Carrera in a small workshop in Madrid’s Barrio de las Letras neighbourhood. Its prestige grew with milestones such as the bridal tiara for Fabiola de Mora y Aragón in 1960, and in the second half of the 20th century, the firm adopted a ‘jewel-sculpture’ style inspired by art, mythology and nature.
Backed by the meticulousness of its artisans, its ‘Origen’ collection stands out in particular, where bas-relief and alternating glossy/matte finishes bring peacocks, felines and arabesques to life with poetic realism.
Leo Pizzo

The Leo Pizzo maison was founded in 1971 in the heart of the goldsmith district of Valenza, when Leonzio Pizzo opened his first workshop after training with local masters. In 1987, the addition of gemologist Rosaria Di Giorgio reinforced the technical excellence of the house, which is now run by the second generation, with Rocco, Teresa, and Tancredi Pizzo at the helm.
Its iconic ‘Flora’ collection, famous for its pavé work that recreates the intricate forms of nature, coexists with the pure, light lines of series such as “Merletti” and ‘Light Wings,’ where the play of volumes and masterful craftsmanship enhance the versatility of the modern woman.
