A compact format, faithful to the original design

The new 30 mm diameter is a significant innovation in the Aqua Terra family, which already offered 34 mm options. The reason for this expansion is not a functional necessity, but rather a conscious decision by Omega to return to the classic proportions of wristwatches. With this launch, the brand is taking a firm step towards a more refined reinterpretation, without sacrificing the characteristic elements of the collection.

The case retains the round geometry and soft curves that define the Aqua Terra design. The bezel is slightly wider, resulting from the proportion relative to the diameter of the dial. The lugs also appear to have a more pronounced curvature, which improves the fit and enhances the experience on smaller wrists.

The external finishes combine polished and satin-finished surfaces. The shine is reserved for visible areas such as the bezel, the upper face of the lugs and the central links of the bracelet. The satin finish covers the sides of the case and the outer links. The alternation between the two textures creates an attractive visual effect and confirms the high watchmaking standard with which each unit is manufactured.

Bracelet and ergonomics: designed for everyday use

The most striking feature of the new Aqua Terra 30 mm is its bracelet. Despite its smaller size, it remains integrated with the case and uses Omega’s patented screw and pin system. The centre links are shorter than on the larger versions, a decision that responds to the need to adapt the design to the new format without compromising its proportions.

The folding clasp incorporates side pushers and a 2 mm micro-adjustment. This small technical detail is particularly useful, as it allows the watch to be adapted to changes in the contour of the wrist throughout the day, improving comfort without altering the aesthetics.

Spheres with their own identity

The dial of the new Aqua Terra 30 mm respects the key elements of the women’s line in the collection. The hour markers, applied to the surface, retain their characteristic shape. The date is displayed at six o’clock through a perfectly integrated circular window. The main visual difference is in the minute hand, which does not feature the Broad Arrow design common to other Aqua Terra models. This new configuration reinforces the delicate character of the model without compromising legibility.

The applied elements are made of white gold, adding a touch of sophistication without detracting from the sporty aesthetic. Omega has worked with a diverse colour palette for the dials, ranging from sober tones with a sunburst finish to more expressive options. Two of the versions use mother-of-pearl as a base, which adds a highly attractive organic texture. In addition, some models feature brilliant-cut diamonds, either on the bezel or as hour markers.

Technical innovation in a minimal space

The greatest innovation of the Aqua Terra 30 mm is not visible to the naked eye. It lies within, where the new calibres 8750 and 8751 beat. These automatic movements have been developed specifically for this model. With a diameter of only 20 mm, they include technical features normally reserved for larger calibres.

Both movements feature a Co-Axial escapement, a silicon balance spring and a 48-hour power reserve. They are also Master Chronometer certified by METAS, guaranteeing chronometric precision, anti-magnetic resistance up to 15,000 gauss and excellent performance in the face of temperature variations.

The calibre 8750 is included in the steel and two-tone versions. The 8751, exclusive to precious metal models, is distinguished by a Sedna gold oscillating weight. Both mechanisms are visible through transparent casebacks, an unusual choice in women’s watches of this size.

A collection featuring twelve personalities

Omega is launching this collection in twelve versions. There are five steel models, four in gold (Sedna or Moonshine) and three two-tone models. Some feature diamond settings on the bezel, while others have them on the dial itself. The range of possibilities is wide, covering everything from everyday watches to very special pieces.
