Breitling Avenger

Launched in 2001, the Breitling Avenger collection is characterised by its imposing size and functionalities designed to withstand challenging conditions. Inspired by both aviation and diving, these timepieces are built to deliver exceptional performance in demanding environments.

With large case sizes ranging from 42 to 44 mm, the Avenger collection uses materials such as stainless steel and ceramic, combined with sapphire crystals that protect the dials, to produce robust timepieces that will stand the test of time. The bracelets in this collection are available in calfskin or stainless steel.

The design of the Avenger watches is focused on legibility, an important aspect for professionals who need to access information quickly and accurately in any situation. The dials are designed to facilitate clear readability, even in adverse conditions. The serrated unidirectional bezels, characteristic of most models, not only reinforce the distinctive identity of the collection, but also offer functionality for measuring dive times or manoeuvres. On the GMT models, the rotating bezels have indications for all 24 time zones, making them a very practical tool for those who manage multiple time zones.

Despite their robust appearance, Avenger watches are designed to be comfortable and ergonomic. Over time, the cases have become slimmer, and practical details such as crowns and easy-grip pushers have been added, which are designed to be operated even when wearing gloves.

Some models in the Breitling Avenger collection go a step further by including safety innovations such as micro-transmitters capable of broadcasting emergency signals on international frequencies, a key function in rescue situations. In addition, all models are water resistant to 10 bar (100 metres), ensuring their reliability in everyday situations involving exposure to water, such as swimming or showering, giving wearers peace of mind.

In terms of technical features, the Avenger collection incorporates high-precision automatic movements. The Breitling 01 calibre, for example, offers a power reserve of 70 hours and is COSC-certified, guaranteeing very good performance. Other movements in the collection are the B17 and B32 calibres, with power reserves of 38 and 42 hours respectively. The chronographs are integrated in the models with the calibre 01, while the models with the calibres 17 and 32 have calendar apertures on the dial.
