The Breitling Classic AVI collection is a tribute to classic aviator watches, inspired by the 1953 AVI Ref. 765 Co-Pilot and legendary aircraft that left their mark on aviation history. These timepieces feature retro design and modern technology, creating oversized pieces with the essence of aviation and Breitling’s heritage.

Breitling Classic AVI watches are notable for their inspiration from historic aircraft such as the P-51 Mustang, the Vought F4U Corsair, the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, and the de Havilland Mosquito. Each watch carries specific details and colour schemes reminiscent of these aircraft, and on the case back, an engraving of the silhouette of the corresponding aircraft shows Breitling’s signature level of attention to detail.

These watches are available in a variety of case sizes, ranging from 41mm to 46mm, allowing you to adapt to different tastes, whether you prefer a more compact watch or one with more presence on the wrist. The cases of the Breitling Classics AVI watches are made from a variety of materials, such as stainless steel and ceramic, which are lightweight and durable, while the 18K red gold and platinum options are more exclusive.

In terms of movements, the Classic AVI collection includes both automatic and hand-wound movements. The automatic movements offer a power reserve of approximately 48 hours, while the hand-wound movements provide up to 70 hours of autonomy, offering wearers a traditional and reliable watchmaking experience. Although the collection focuses on simple functionality, some models are equipped to handle a second time zone (GMT), a valuable feature for travellers.

High readability is a central feature of these watches. Large Arabic numerals and fluted bezels ensure clear readability and a secure grip, even in demanding situations.
