The Tissot PRX collection is a recreation of the classic designs the brand created in the 1970s. This revival of the PRX line features retro styling combined with contemporary technology, paying a nod to Tissot’s rich watchmaking heritage while meeting the demands of modern aficionados.
The name PRX reflects the key characteristics of these watches: “PR” for Precision and Ruggedness, and “X” symbolising water resistance to 10 atmospheres (100 metres). This combination of precision, ruggedness and water resistance ensures that PRX watches are as durable as they are stylish.
The PRX collection is distinguished by its sporty design, with a clear influence of 1970s fashion. The watches feature a slim, angular case with a polished bezel and a simple, clean dial, giving them a timeless aesthetic. The integrated case with the metal strap, a distinctive design of watches from that era, offers a continuous, flowing appearance that sits comfortably on the wrist.
The models are available in various dial colours, including blue, black, silver and green. Details such as applied hour-markers and luminescent hands ensure excellent legibility in all light conditions.
The PRX collection offers both quartz and automatic movements. The quartz models are known for their high precision and ease of maintenance, ideal for those looking for a reliable and practical timepiece. The automatic models, on the other hand, equipped with the Powermatic 80 movement, offer an impressive power reserve of up to 80 hours, combining watchmaking tradition with modern innovations.
